Financial Programmer Analyst
Primary Objective of Position
Develop, implement and maintain application software to meet established standards and specifications using approved programming languages. This position will be using GeneXus code-generator to develop and maintain RPG programs for the IBM system I. The successfulcandidate will work closely with the financial departments and MIS staff to provide system support in a changing marketplace.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Supporting MBS’s in-house financial applications.
Supporting JDE World.
Developing new and maintaining existing programs.
Taking the specific needs and tasks and converting them into software applications that meet the needs of the end users.
Analyzing code to find errors and take corrective actions.
Assisting in implementing program enhancements and modifications.
Qualifications and Qualities:
Must
Have experience with financial and accounting principles and applications.
Possess analytical skills and ability to creatively solve complicated problems in a corporate environment.
Be a detail-oriented team player with strong time management and organizational skills.
Be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
Be able to take ownership of project life cycle; from design through testing and implementation.
Have good communication skills to work with users to design software applications that address their needs and meet company requirements.
Have the ability to learn new technologies and skills.
Preferred
Experience with JDE World.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Familiarity with the principles of database design and SQL.
Previous experience in software project management.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with RPG programming language.
